There are several options under the preferences.

The agency settings allow users to switch between agencies if they have access to multiple tenants.

The next option is languages, where users can change the system to another language. It's important to know where to come back and change things back to the preferred language if it is accidentally changed.

The next option is to adjust the notifications that allow you to turn on and off different types of notifications & alerts. Notifications appear as snack bars that will pop up at the bottom left of the screen. Audible alerts are for the dispatch applications users, while mobile audible alerts are for Mobile users. It could be call or unit timers, call updates, system errors, NCIC alerts if set up by the admin, etc. Some alerts will sound even if turned off in this menu if they are deemed high priority, such as timers and emergency button activations.

The next option is the Active Areas which will be covered in another tutorial.

The second to last option is the Display Settings covered in the next tutorial.

The last thing that we have in preference is keyboard shortcuts. Keyboard shortcuts allow users to use the keyboard to focus on certain features of the system. These shortcuts are hardcoded, so they can not be changed. They use the ALT button on Windows and Options button on an Apple Product.

ALT M opens the message system.

ALT R refetches RapidSOS.

ALT S brings up the Swap Calls drawer on Active Call

ALT U brings up the Unit drawer on Active Call

ALT ` (the button at the top left above the Tab button) brings up the Search Window
