In 46.2, we added NEW FEATURES to our Dispatch application. Also, we improved some items for the Dispatch and Mobile applications.

Please review the full release notes in the link below:

DISPATCH

Pushing High Priority Call Comments from Command Line

Audience: Dispatchers

As a dispatcher, you can send high-priority call comments to those associated with the call area via the Command Line. The notification will be displayed in a red box, and it will be shown for 10 minutes or until the user dismisses it. These types of notifications cannot be muted in the preference section. This new feature will help to make high-priority comments more visible to end users.

Command Line - Display Aliased Commands As Read Only If Not Permissioned

Audience: Dispatchers

As a dispatcher, you can view the alias for the Command Line even though you don't have permission to modify them. This new feature will allow you to see all the aliases' information but still prevent anyone from altering the aliases. This addition to the application is an excellent way to control the general aliases' information approved by your agency.

Tab Through The Command Line With Addresses

Audience: Dispatchers

As a dispatcher, you can utilize the Command Line and the Tab key to choose a location from a list when updating or creating a new call. Previously, when you pressed the tab key, the system would first tab over the other functions. However, now you press the tab once, and the system takes you straight to the address list. Then, if you press the tab key again, you can navigate to use the other functions associated with the Command Line. This upgrade will allow you to handle calls faster and more effectively.

Active Call - If Unit Is Cleared, Display Available Log In Dispatch Log

Audience: Dispatchers

As a dispatcher, you can benefit from the new feature made to the Dispatch Log. The units' available statuses are now in the Dispatch Logs on the Active Call screen. Previously, when a dispatcher cleared a unit, the Dispatch Log would not indicate the unit as available; however, now the Dispatch Log also shows the time when the unit was made available. This feature will help you to identify when the units were made available for more accuracy and a faster response.

Monitor - Allow User To Collapse An Expanded Unit Card

Audience: Dispatchers

You can utilize this new feature to collapse unit call updates on unit cards as a dispatcher. Previously, you were not able to collapse the unit card individually. However, this new feature allows you to collapse and expand a unit card to minimize or maximize the information displayed in the column for a better user experience.

Popup Notifications Location Adjustable

Audience: Dispatchers

As a dispatcher, you can benefit from our new feature that allows you to adjust the location of notifications displayed on the screen. The location of the notifications can be set up in your profile and preference section. For example, you can set them up for the bottom left, which is the default, or have it for the bottom center; you could do it for the top right, etc. This new feature will benefit officer safety checks, critical call comments, etc.

View Call Drawer Hides Message Boxes

Audience: Dispatchers

As a dispatcher, you can see more clearly the information in the view calls drawer because it is not blocked by the messages. So, we ensured that the messages were displayed above the view call tray instead. This new feature is helpful because you are allowed to collapse the message tray so that you can still use comments and perform other actions.

Command Line - Switching Between Command Lines Adds A Back Slash

Audience: Dispatchers

As dispatchers, you can navigate between Command Lines without having a backslash displayed in the Command Line field. This upgrade is beneficial because you can save time by switching from Command Line fields without having to deal with an extra character.

Active Call - Cross Street Text Is Black/Difficult To See

Audience: Dispatchers

As a dispatcher, you can enjoy the benefit of the cross-street text being adjusted to the color gray, which has more contrast and is more visible. This adjustment was applied to other places within the application, such as the view call tray and the active call screen. This upgrade is helpful because it is easier to see the cross streets involved in your calls.

Command Line - Change Location With XC Command False Notification

Audience: Dispatchers

As a dispatcher, you can update an address from the Command Line using the XC command and obtain the notification after the updated address is selected from the Command Line field. Before this change, the notification of the updated address was shown before choosing the address. Now, dispatchers can be confident the displayed address is the accurate address.

VC Command Case Sensitivity With Call Number

Audience: Dispatchers

As a dispatcher, you can utilize the VC (View Call command) regardless of case sensitivity differences in the call number. Previously, if a call number had alphabetical content in it and the casing was wrong or incorrect or did not match, the view call command did not work. This improvement allows you to enter information using the VC and get the results you need to handle your call correctly.

Active Call - Basic Call Info Fields Do Not Update In Real Time

Audience: Dispatchers

You can benefit from the active call automated area calculation update as a dispatcher. Previously, if you made an update to a call, you would not see those updates in real time. However, this correction allows you to make an update quickly. In addition, the change will be displayed instantaneously on your screen without clicking the refresh button.

MOBILE

Audience: Mobile Users

Browser Tabs Are Displaying Incorrect Page Names

In the Mobile application, the browser tab pages were corrected, so each tab page matches the appropriate page name. For example, MOBILE | Query, MOBILE | Recent Calls, MOBILE | Pending Reports, and MOBILE | Scheduled Calls. This correction makes it easier for Mobile users to navigate quickly to different pages.
