Dispatch Plans are used to suggest units to respond to an incident. Primarily for FIRE/EMS scenarios, where you have specific units that need to respond to an incident at a location because of a run order.

If a Call Type has a Dispatch Plan set up, it will be indicated with the red button “Dispatch Required,” as shown below:

Dispatch plans are matched to a call based on several criteria: 1( Call type, 2( Area, and 3( Priority. Based on how dispatch plans have been configured in the Admin, a change to any of these criteria can change the dispatch plan and, therefore, the requirements.

After you click on the “Dispatch Required” red button, you will get the Units Dispatch screen; this screen will indicate the type of unit required to satisfy your Call Type dictated by your agency:

As you can see, in the above example, the units displayed in the reddish circles are the units required for that Dispatch Plan. This plan requires 1 LAW unit and 1 K9 unit, and the zero indicates there are no units yet fulfilling that Dispatch Plan.

Below are the suggested units that the system will suggest for you. The suggested units will be suggested by rotation order, proximity, capabilities, etc.:

If you decide to accept the system’s suggestion, you can click on the blue “Dispatch All Suggested” button:

As a Dispatcher, you may rather look at the map and determine which units to utilize to fulfill your Call requirements:

You can Filter units within the units list using this field:

Also, you can request an additional unit by clicking on the top blue button:

If you decide to accept the suggested units, after clicking the “Dispatch All Suggested” button, you will see this:

In this section, you can see that your dispatch plan requirement has been satisfied (1/1):

Also, from this section you can change the unit’s status:

And Clear the unit from the Call:

Next is the Dispatch Active, Units Active, and Dispatch Log section:

When you click on the Dispatchers Active Tab, the system will indicate which terminal(s) is handling that Call:

When you click on the Units Active Tab, you will see which units are dispatched to your call, their Unit #, location and status will be displayed as well:

From this section, you can update the unit status, by clicking on the “Dispatch” and three ellipse:

You can assign/update/change which unit is Primary by clicking on the badge icon:

Dispatch Log

In the Dispatch Log, you can find Unit status changes and the times when those changes occurred. You can see the running clock icon if they are currently on the call. See the below examples:
