In 52.2, we improved SOMA Admin, Dispatch, and Mobile. Review the videos below to find out how our latest improvement works.

Please review the full release notes in the link below:

ADMIN

Clarify which areas belong to my agency vs. a shared dispatch feed agency

Audience: System Admin

As a System Admin working in a multi-jurisdiction capacity, you can quickly identify which areas belong to your agency and the shared tenant. This improvement is helpful because it lets you determine what you can edit without worrying about editing information from the other agency.

DISPATCH

Speed Up Assignments View Loading (Remove Person Icon Images)

Audience: Dispatchers

As a Dispatcher, you can benefit from the speed-up assignment when loading, especially if your agency has a lot of users. We have removed the avatar to make the loading faster in the assignment drawer. Now, when you go to the Monitor View>Update Assignment section, you can notice that the icons by the user’s names are no longer displayed. This change applies to Monitor and Active Call to help you speed up your check-in/out process.

Active Call - Merged Call Confirmation Dialog

Audience: Dispatchers

As a Dispatcher, you can benefit from adding a dialogue box when merging calls. Now, you will receive a confirmation dialogue box whenever you Merge Calls. This improvement will help you correctly Merge Calls since this action can not be undone. The Merge Call Confirmation dialog applies to:

1) Active Calls

2) Swap Calls

3) Monitor - View calls

Active Call - Retain Call Comment Timestamps When Calls Are Merged

Audience: Dispatchers

As a Dispatcher, you will be able to keep all the Call Comments even after you Merge Calls. Calls Timestamps will be carried over to the Call Merged Information. This addition to the application will be helpful for post-analysis and investigations.

Command Line - Call Type Code Is Case Sensitive When Creating A New Call

Audience: Dispatchers

As a Dispatcher, you can create a Call with Mixed Cased Keys using the Command Line. Previously, when creating a Call, you must match the Call Type Code exactly to create a Call from the Command Line. However, with this change, you can create a Call using the Command Line without matching lowercase or uppercase characters as they were entered in the Call Type Code section. This improvement helps you handle your Calls much faster.

MOBILE

Update Swap Call Filtering Actions

Audience: Mobile Users

In Mobile, the switch in the swap call drawer was replaced with a "My Calls" button. This button can be toggled to see either your Calls or All Calls. A button has been added to toggle for each shared feed agency to show or hide that agency's calls. This change makes it easier to swap calls while on the road.
