In Release 54.2, SOMA added new enhancements to the SOMA Hub, Records, and Dispatch applications. Review the videos below to find out how the latest highlights work.

Please review the full release notes in the link below:

HUB

Ability To Import A Warrant From A Shared SOMA Feed & Add Agency Name To The HUB Search Results

Audience: System Users

As a System User, if you have permission in Admin, you can import Warrants and Civil Papers from the Hub search. To do that, you need to be in Admin>Feeds>Edit Feed within the Configuration tab. Previously you only could Import Permissions for Names, Vehicles, and Property. Also, the label in the Records Table View was updated; before this change, the label only indicated the word SOMA. Now you can see the actual tenant from where the Record is related to. This enhancement will allow you to search faster and import Warrants and Civil Papers Records.

Ability To Review SOMA Login Attempts

Audience: System Users

You can review login attempts using our system as a System Admin and CJS Compliance personnel. This addition will be helpful when you need to provide system login attempts information for audits or staff meetings.

RECORDS

Classify Permission Does Not Actually Block Access To The Incident When Accessed Through The Name Involvements

Audience: System Users

Classify tags will now block viewing records from the related resources table view. For example, if you have a victim with a classify tag, a user without permission can not access the victim on the master name record. This improvement is significant so information can be protected.

Classify Flag - Related Resource Classify Flag - Update Classify Children If Parent Updated

Audience: System Users

As a System User, you can benefit from this new feature that allows you to classify child records based on the classification of the parent record. For example, if you classify a parent record with a certain tag, the child record would also receive this classification tag. If you then unclassified the parent record, the child record would also be unclassified. This improvement will help you to keep sensitive data protected.

DISPATCH

Monitor - Error When Snoozing Shared Dispatch Tenant Safety Notifications

Audience: Dispatchers

As a Dispatcher working in a Multi-jurisdictional capacity, you can create a call type and safety check timers for call types and not disrupt the Dispatcher from the other agency. This change is beneficial because it allows the other Dispatcher to snooze the alert you created for your call type so they do not lose focus by your alerts.

DISPATCH & MOBILE

Virtualize Units & Calls Columns

Audience: Dispatchers and Mobile Users

As a dispatcher or mobile user, you can benefit from the addition to Dispatch settings called “Virtualize Lists.” This new setting will help you when working with large numbers of Calls and Units simultaneously. By enabling the Virtualized Lists settings, you can offset any performance decline caused by a large number of calls and units, allowing you to work with large amounts of calls and units with much better system performance and speed.
