As a Super Admin, you can utilize the two added flags to Dispatch settings to control the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) for LAW Call Types and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPPA) for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Call Types. This new feature will be very important to ensure the security and privacy compliance for personal information.

Permissions - Add CJIS/HIPPA Permission Flags

Audience: Super Admin

As a Super Admin, you can use the new flags added to the Profile and Groups Admin settings to grant users and groups permission to view information regarding Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPPA). This new addition to the application will help you control how secure information is visible to different personnel.

Monitor - Show/Hide Call Details Based on CJIS/HIPPA Permissions

Audience: Super Admin

As a Super Admin, you can turn on or off the CJIS and HIPPA permissions to control in Admin which group can access specific calls in the Monitor view. For example, suppose a user in Monitor view tries to view the details of a Call, and they do not have permission to view that call due to the CJIS or HIPPA standards. In that case, that user will get an error message indicating they don’t have permission to view what specific call. This new addition is beneficial to make sure privacy requirements are not breached.

DISPATCH

Virtualize Check In/Out And Assignments

Audience: Dispatchers

As a Dispatcher, you can benefit from SOMA’s new “Virtualized Lists” settings. The Virtualized Lists will allow you to perform the Check-in and Out process more efficiently. For example, you will notice a much better performance during Check-in and Out when you work with a large number of Units.

Virtualize Calls Table View

Audience: Dispatchers

As a Dispatcher, you can benefit from SOMA’s new “Virtualized Lists” settings in Call Table View; enabling the “Virtualized Lists” in the settings can optimize its performance. This new addition to the settings will help you when you have to handle many Calls in your Call Table view in Monitor.

Allow Virtualization When Grids Are Present In Unit Columns

Audience: Dispatchers

As a Dispatcher, you can benefit from SOMA’s new “Virtualized Lists” settings in the Unit Column when grids are enabled. For example, you will need to click on the “Virtualize Lists” in Admin first to virtualize the Units in the Unit Column, so the Unit Columns will always stay virtualized.

AUTOMATIONS

Add GET Request To File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Step

Audience: Automation Users

As an Automation User, you can now utilize the File Transfer step with the GET command to access an FTP server. This new feature expands to file transfer step to be used for SFTP and FTP.
